Las Vegas – Beyond the Street of Dreams

Can I let you in on a little secret? The activities offered in Las Vegas prove that you may not know nearly as much as you think you do when traveling to Sin City. People are amazed at all the new things to see and do in Vegas, both on and off the strip. When most think of Vegas, it’s about the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas Boulevard. But beyond the “street of dreams,” you’ll find some hidden gems featuring some of the best activities, restaurants and hotels in the area. With some of the best Las Vegas deals to be had!

Looking for a play to stay and play? You definitely have your pick of the litter with Las Vegas hotels. However, if you have a group on a budget, or a VIP that prefers more of a “resort-like” atmosphere, try booking an option off the strip. You’ll find that prices are usually a bit less, but still close enough to all the action. And there are some fabulous headlining shows and events to see! From the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, to the Palms, to the glorious Red Rock Resort or Green Valley Ranch, you are sure to find a fit to suit every need. Most hotels offer some great adventure, family, and seasonal packages. And for groups, most cater to hospitality professionals as well, with tons of customizable space.

Activities are also abundant off the strip (from Fremont Street to Lake Las Vegas, and everywhere in between). Why not try a Vegas balloon ride? As one of the best ways to experience Las Vegas, gently float over the hustle and bustle of the strip and its surrounding areas. Enjoy the feeling of tranquility as you experience amazing 360-degree views of the city and its gorgeous landscape. The Grand Canyon is also just a few hours away. But if you are looking for something even closer, Red Rock Canyon is also a sight not to be missed. With its majestic red peaks and white bluffs, stop by the Visitors Center, hike on one of its multiple trails, or drive the scenic loop. There is no shortage of ways you can drink in the rich scenery and panoramic views of this amazing city.

Hungry? Some of the best Las Vegas restaurants are off the strip! Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late-night bit, all have something great to offer. With some delicious food, great prices, & a charming atmosphere, there are hundreds of places to choose from. What better way to do an offsite dine-around for a group? To name but a few, try ENVY the Steakhouse (in the Renaissance hotel), Firefly Tapas on Paradise (on Paradise Road), or Panevino (on Antonio Avenue) – all well worth driving a few miles for!

No other city can compete with the grand spectacle that Las Vegas is (both on and off the strip). With the perfect mix of the old and the new, the city just can’t be beat. Nice summary. My favorites are the Grand Canyon and Zion which aren’t too far away as well as Bryce which is a bit further. While in LV my favorite is to watch the water dance and view the floral displays at Bellagio.
